This is the ridiculously simple meal that makes you seem like an amazing cook while providing a very inexpensive meal that make great leftovers. It’s a great go to for family or pot luck events when you want a lot of cheap food that you can make without a ton of steps or fuss.

Ingredients
- 1 box tube pasta (ziti, rigatoni, penne, mastaccioli)
- 1 jar favorite pasta sauce (aka whatever was on sale or the staple you use)
- 2 bags shredded mozzarella
Instructions
- boil pasta to al dente
- add ¼ jar of pasta sauce to baking dish, creating a layer covering the bottom
- add layer of cheese
- add ½ of pasta to dish
- add ½ of remaining pasta sauce to cover pasta
- add layer of cheese
- add the rest of the pasta
- add remaining pasta sauce
- cover with cheese
- Bake covered 30 minutes at 350 degrees
- remove cover and bake 10 more minutes to turn the cheese on top brown
Notes
One of the things I love about this simple recipe is how versatile it is. My favorite thing is to add sausage, spinach or grilled chicken to it.
